Time to go read Mind of the South. I sprained my arm or did something when I fell like a complete klutz during cross country today. Now I can barely move it!!! My knees will survive though, despite the fact that they were bleeding flourescent red blood. Well, I’ve wasted the whole night trying to wake myself up for studying by drinking lots of caffeine, taking a cold shower, having a “power nap,” eating ice, etc., but the bottom line is I’m completely exhausted. In the last week I cut my hours of sleep to less than half of what it was over the summer. And every time I try to study one page of that book, my eyes close and I start nodding off. Well, maybe now that Gemma’s gone I’ll have some more time soon, except it was really sad when the Spanish kids left. When I told her after school that I had cross country and might not see her again, she started crying hysterically. So I felt really bad and waited around after XC (I didn’t call it track!!)for their bus to come to the high school and for them to leave (actually, basically all of the host kids were there). For most of the time she was okay but then as people got ready to board the bus she started crying really hard again. ‘Twas very triste. But I guess it’s better than her being ecstatic about going home. So that is that, and now I’ll have to get used to speaking English in my house again! Woah, is that actually the normal language in Winchester?? Who knew…

One more attempt to read that book, or otherwise I’ll just have to miraculously pull an essay out of my shoe tomorrow.

  1. whoa somehow i completely missed your last 2 entries, but I have a contribution: you are not awkward, you are the smartest person in the school, and you are really friendly and cool. AH DON’T SEE NO FLAWS, GURL!!! wuss wrong wichew?? haha jay kay. I’m proud of you, pa. I mean it when I say I would be lost without you. For you are the light at the end of the dark tunnel that is my life. You have taught me everything I know, and you are a TRULY beautiful man in every way.

I’m glad I purchased that book and read 3 sentences of it. it was really expensive too!!! for a piece o’ crap that it is, who would pay that much? oh yes, everyone in AP because the heads of the social studies department find it enriching
    aww that’s sad that gemma cried. you know what would have been cool? If I had an affair with one of the spanish guys. of course there would be no emotional commitment, so it would be all in passion and nothing more. BUT ALACK! it was not so.

  3. hahaha yes, I would have chosen Pedro or maybe Eloy or Daniel for you. Since those are the only ones that I really remember right now. Eloy was definitely the most awesome boy but I’m not sure if he was really the affair type! He came to say goodbye to me and I hugged him and he was like, “OH!!!” in a really surprised voice…so I guess I scared him. But wait, there’s still time for your plan to work out because YOU CAN COME TO SPAIN THIS APRIL!!!! Since only like 6 people ended up deciding to go. You should ask Ms. Keanzie, oh and by the way, we can start a spanish club but we have to fundraise because the language department is dumb and all the teachers made this pact not to advise a club for free. Ms. Kean wants to but she doesn’t want the other teachers to hate her, I guess. So we need to start having carwashes en espanol and weird stuff like that. i bet evilra (is that how you spell it?) and ms. palma came up with that policy. Last year when I asked ms. borsari she was like, “aw honey I’d love to make a club but that would be discriminating against the other languages, and I wouldn’t feel right!!” instead of just telling me the truth about the dumb pact! but ms. kean is cool. Way for me to write a comment longer than my original post…anyway sonny, back to yah studies now!!! I want to see you keepin those grades up!
