HI!!!!!!!!
I’m with my homestay family and I have about 5 minutes to use the internet!!
wow it feels like decades since I’ve typed anything. Things are pretty cool here. I’m sorry but I have no idea how to send mail so you probably won’t get a letter, but you can read this instead. My family is really nice and they have a cute 2 year old girl. But most of the day I’m with the group of American kids. For the first week we stayed in a house that was kind of in the jungle and worked in a pretty poor community, then we went to the rainforest to build stuff for this rainforest conservation place. We stayed in tents and did stuff like mixing cement, laying brick, and building water trenches. It constantly rained and every single thing was covered in mud no matter where you went. Then we took the ferry to Vieques. It is really nice here, just pretty and cool. Tomorrow we get to build a septic tank for somebody!! Haha that sounds gross but thankfully there are no septics for the tank so it’s not that gross. Anyway….I’m sort of homesick but not really. I MISS YOU PEOPLE!!!! Here’s a question for anyone reading this who doesn’t drink/do drugs/have sex every single night of their lives: are we the weirdos or is everybody here?? (I mean the Americankids, not my family). It’s not like they’re allowed to do that stuff here but they constantly talk about it. It gets kind of old but I guess I’m just a loser
. Oh well. Anyway I’ll see you in exactly 14 days if you’re home….ADIOS!!!
STINE!!!!!!! I am going to write you a letter. It sounds like an awesome timeee. scandinavia was fun, I got you a rockin’ birthday present in sweden (sort of late, but i wasn’t here for your party ) so yes, i can’t wait to see you when you come back. by the way, you are not a loser, those dudes are! we have better things to do π but jeez i can’t believe they talk about that in another country, whilst helping the poor! I guess between those people and the BUTTHOLES in my cabin at camp last year, it is something we cannot escape. *sigh* but at least you don’t have to watch them do it…hahaha. well I am glad you are having a good time. keep up the good work, pa!
~your loving and faithful son
ps. there’s a quality new lake to go fishing that i discovered. perhaps we will go–no, we HAVE to go–when you come back. I’m missing out on our father-son bonding!!!!

Look who commented! And I don’t mean me or your son. Anywho, i’m in Paris. is your keyboard weird too? We are super cool and people who do bad things are not ESPECIALLY IN THE EYES OF GOD! that’s why we have the apocalypse. Anywho, again, everyone misses you, but then again everyone one is away. see you in 11 days.

Christine! I miss you too! I wrote you a letter, but I guess you didn’t get it. I just got back from Brown, where I had a lot of fun. I agree with Al that all the Americans there with you who drink/do drugs/have sex are the weirdos, not us. Hooray for your family having a cute 2-year-old girl!! I have lots to talk to you about … so I am eagerly awaiting your return. By the way, how is the whole speaking-Spanish thing going?
